| Job Summary: |
- Lead engineering/construction teams by establishing priorities, determining resource allocation for design and delivery of all construction projects, and supervising the execution of development engineering deliverables
- Support project development team in bid analysis and conceptual design responses including constructability, schedule and costs.
- Provide engineering/technical input and direction to site evaluation and characterization, permitting, power purchase agreements, interconnect agreements, financial modeling, and other project development aspects
- Manages preparation of engineering/technical input to the project development process including site layouts, plant performance estimates, plant capita, O&M cost estimates, site surveys, geotechnical reports, hydrology/conceptual grading/drainage designs, project descriptions/technical data for permit applications, conceptual plant substation and gen-tie designs
- Assist in the transition of projects from the Project Development to EPC team, Manage all project activities of the Construction and Project Management teams
- Work with senior management to develop long term strategic plans for the organization
- Monitor costs/profitability of construction projects to prevent profit margin erosion
- Display solid business sense in making decisions and deploying resources
- Ensures operational excellence of the company’s rapid expansion into new/existing solar markets nationwide
- Represents DelSolar’s in development, permitting and marketing meetings on engineering, technical and construction issues
- Primary interface with outside stakeholders in matters relating to engineering design, construction quality, scope and schedule

Education Requirements: |
- BS degree in one of these engineering discipline, (i.e. BSEE, BSME, BSCE) – Electrical engineering background preferred.
- Master degree in electrical engineering preferred
- 5+ years of experience in the Power Generation industry
- Experience with environmental review processes desired, not required
- 5+ years of power systems engineering experience in the design/build, EPC, or electric utility generation field.
- 5+ years of experience in managing construction/engineering teams
- Proven multi-project management skills
- Must possess technical knowledge of related engineering systems, equipment, engineering calculations, and construction methods
- Deep understanding of project development and permitting processes
- Proficient knowledge of engineering economics and optimization tools
- Strong knowledge of project engineering, procurement, and construction processes/procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Strong computing skills including MS Office Suite and engineering programs
- Construction, testing, and commissioning experience preferred
- Professional Engineer Registration preferred
- Prior experience in the solar industry desirable
